JILL JACK LIVE IN CONCERT - SATURDAY, OCT. 11TH - 7:00 P.M.
It's an honor to welcome Jill Jack, along with bandmate Mark Iannace to the Mangia Mangia concert stage.
Upon meeting Jill Jack -- one is immediately drawn to the quick, easy-smile and the sparkle in her eyes...which hint at the charming,
down-to-earth personality that lie beneath it all. This talented Detroit artist brings a mix of folk, rock, blues - and a bit of country to her
listeners, as she captivates them with her whimsical, genuine live performances.
Since 1997, she has won 37 Detroit Music Awards in every conceivable category that applies to a singer-songwriter. Jill and her band
have opened for such names as - Bob Seger, John Waite, Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, Dan Fogelberg, Marshall
Crenshaw, Chris Issak, and Loretta Lynn, to name but a few. She has also been a headliner at venues & festivals -- SXSW (South by Southwest), Ann Arbor Folk Festival, 30A Songwriters Festival, WYCD Downtown Hoedown, Blissfest Music Festival, The Bluebird Cafe, The Living Room in NYC, and consistent sell-out shows at The Ark. Regional touring has branched to successful tours of England and the American Southeast. Jill was also a finalist in the "Susanne Millsaps Performing Songwriter Showcase," and was chosen as an American
semi-finalist in the "International Songwriting Competition" for "Fallen (A Love Song)."
